Hey there! I'm a first-year student at New York University, enrolled in the College of Arts & Science as a Neural Science major. I also plan to minor in American Sign Language, Chemistry, and possibly Psychology.
At NYU, I'm involved in a wide variety of clubs, organizations, and activities, such as Peer Health Exchange, which is an organization that aims to empower teens by traveling to public high schools in the city that don't have access to a comprehensive health education. As health educators, we are trained in a skills-based health curriculum, which we teach to the students in the schools.
I'm also a member of International Rescue Committee, which is an organization dealing with the refugee crisis, through which we raise awareness and work directly with refugee families.
A few of my other clubs at NYU include American Medical Students Association, Society for Undergraduate Neural Science, and Indian Cultural Exchange. I'm also in the University Concert Band, and I've been playing the saxophone for about 7 years. I'd have a lot to tell you about Greek life as well, as I'm a member of Delta Gamma.
My first year at NYU has truly been life-changing for me—I can honestly say that I've lived more this past year than I have in my entire life. A school like NYU is truly like nowhere else in the world, and I couldn't possibly be happier about my decision to attend this university. As the NYUers say; in and of the city, in and of the world.
If you're interested in NYU (which, let's be real, you definitely are), please don't hesitate to contact me! I would love to pass my knowledge on to you, whether it's about NYU or just about college in general. Book a tour with me, and I'm certain you'll have the time of your life exploring this city-based school!
