Hi! My name is Kayleigh and I'm a sophomore Environmental Science major at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I am also minoring in East Asian Studies and Chemistry. My hometown is Kettering, Ohio and I'm enjoying my first year here in Texas!
Being involved on campus and in my new community is very important to me. I am involved with the UTSA Honors College. This organization has allowed me to volunteer in the community, take more challenging and interesting courses, and interview fellow students in the process of joining the Honors College. I am also involved in classes at the campus rec. You don't have to be in a sport to stay fit in college! I regularly attend classes in yoga, kickboxing, and cycling to keep myself in shape. I also have been on camping and hiking trips with the UTSA Green Society as well as the rec center's Outdoor Pursuits. Off campus, I volunteer at Century Hospice. I feel it's important to give back to your community, even if you're new to it.
If you're interested in becoming a Roadrunner here at University of Texas at San Antonio, please consider booking a tour with me! I'll do my best to answer any questions you may have about campus life, the application process, or anything you may be interested in knowing about the University or the City of San Antonio!
