Hello! I am a rising Senior at Pepperdine University, majoring in International Studies with an emphasis on Political Science. I will also be working on a Certificate in Conflict Management at the Pepperdine School of Law and minoring in Journalism.
I am involved in the Social Action and Justice Colloquium and enjoy participating in events that work to better the community at Pepperdine and those communities outside of Pepperdine. You can find me volunteering at the Malibu Labor Exchange, the farmer’s market, or doing environmental restoration in the nearby canyons.
My favorite activity is traveling and I took advantage of Pepperdine’s amazing study abroad programs this past year to spend one semester in Shanghai, China and one semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I broadened my perspectives and learned to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. I also did Pepperdine’s Washington DC program where I interned for a pro-peace organization and this summer I will be doing a medical mission trip in Fiji with other Pepperdine students. I LOVE encouraging students to study abroad, and can provide you with information about applying and how classes abroad work.
Know that although Pepperdine is a Christian university, we welcome people from all faith backgrounds and professors try to integrate service, worship and social responsibility with academic study to create a community strong in faith. I can talk to you about the Spiritual Life Advisors at every dorm, our weekly convocation (as well as "Surf convo") and options for bible groups, no matter what stage you are at in your faith.
Aside from school, I love to penny board, photograph anything and everything with “Cheezus” (my camera) and go to the beach. I would love to spend some time with you showing you one of the most gorgeous campuses in the United States (seriously, we’re #3, AND Zoey 101 was filmed here).
I really love Pepperdine, and I am eager to share my experiences and knowledge about the school and its academics, extracurriculars, environment, and anything else you might want to know! I understand how stressful and overwhelming the college process can be so hopefully some insight from a current student will help you decide whether Pepperdine is right for you. I hope to provide you with honest, accurate, and helpful information and cater to your needs and what you are looking to get out of your college experience - something you can't find online or in a college guide book. Feel free to schedule an anywhere briefing with me or book a tour when you're in town!
